Borderlands 3 has been the talk of the town as of late with its short but vibrant announcement, and it seems you’ll be able to play with your friends regardless of platform if the Microsoft store is to be believed.
While there hasn’t exactly been a wealth of information about Borderlands 3, a now amended listing on the Microsoft store has hinted towards cross-platform play, stating its inclusion in black and white under the ‘Capabilities’ tab on the listing. The post has of course been changed now, but Windows Central was able to capture the comment before its removal.
There’s a chance this feature was removed from the list due to the exclusivity deal signed with the Epic Games Store, or that it is simply a feature that Microsoft was not supposed to mention yet. Whoopsie.
When asked for a comment, a representative from 2K Games told IGN that “Crossplay is something we’re looking at closely, but don’t have anything to confirm or announce at this time.”
Hopefully, this will be an included feature in Borderlands 3. The previous titles have all thrived on their co-op play, and being able to play across platforms would be a real joy. What do you think? Is this feature a guarantee? Or have we been lead up the garden path? Let us know in the comments below!
