Capcom is joining the retro plug-n-play console market with the Capcom Home Arcade, an arcade stick built into a massive Capcom logo.
First we had the NES Mini, then the SNES Mini, the PlayStation Classic, and the Sega Mega Drive Mini. Now, Capcom never really had a console, but it was pretty prevalent in the Arcade scene. So what better way to celebrate retro Capcom classics than releasing an arcade stick packed with games?
Probably anything other than this. But hey, that’s just me.
Anyway, the Capcom Home Arcade is a “uniquely designed” plug-n-play home arcade machine that comes packed with 16 classic arcade titles. It features two full-size premium Sanwa arcade sticks and buttons, “enabling these games to be played the way they were meant to be played,” according to a press release.
The 16 games packed into the Capcom Home Arcade are the original Capcom arcade ROMS with emulation from FBAlpha, offering an authentic accurate arcade experience. Those games are:
- 1944: The Loop Master
- Alien™ vs Predator™
- Armored Warriors™
- Capcom Sports Club™
- Captain Commando™
- Cyberbots™: Fullmetal Madness
- Darkstalkers™: The Night Warriors
- Eco Fighters™
- Final Fight™
- Ghouls ‘n Ghosts™
- Giga Wing™
- Street Fighter™ II: Hyper Fighting
- Mega Man: The Power Battle™
- Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo™
