Eidos Montreal has reflected on the release of Shadow of the Tomb Raider and its post-release support, hinting that there could be more games in the future.

It wasn’t too long ago when Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the conclusion to Lara Croft’s origin story was launching. While the main game released back in September, a string of extra tombs and content have been released since.

While the DLC’s were missed in game #2 and #3, these have certainly quenched the thirst for more adventuring through Lara’s eyes – especially seeing how there isn’t a guarantee we’ll be getting more games in the future.

It looks like fans aren’t the only ones happy with Shadow of the Tomb Raider. During PAX East in an interview with USGamer, Eidos Montreal producer Jonathan Dahan said “We’re super happy with how [Shadow of the Tomb Raider] turned out, both on the critic’s side and performance. That’s why we continued producing DLC because we’re excited about how it went.”

Hopefully, the series success and teams enthusiasm mean that there will be more games in the future for The Tomb Raider series!

“I’d be extremely surprised if we didn’t see more of it,” Dahan added. “We’re not able to say anything about what’s happening next, but I’d be very surprised if we didn’t hear more about the franchise.”
