Warner Bros. has announced that the third Fantastic Beasts film won’t be released until 21 November 2021. The production is also set to start during the Spring next year.
That will mean there is a three-year gap between this new one and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Due to the last one receiving terrible reviews and doing poorly the box office, instead of them churning them out every two years, they seem to have changed that strategy. I personally loved the first one and despised the second, so I’m glad they’re not rushing in with the third one.
The series takes a look of the magical exploits of Newt Scamander and his team of magical creatures. It shows his involvement in the battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, set way before Harry Potter was even thought about by his parents. I just hope the third film does something about Johnny Depp’s one dimensional acting as Grindelwald and helps turn him into a decent villain. We can only hope!
David Yates is still down as directing Fantastic Beasts 3, whereas JK Rowling is writing the script. The cast will also see the return of Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, and Johnny Depp.
