North Bergen High School in North Bergen, New Jersey, swept the Internet last month when their spring play, an adaptation of the 1979 hit movie Alien, had its opening weekend.
The play quickly made its rounds on the Internet, stunning Alien and theater fans with its thorough and creative reproduction of the classic sci-fi horror hit. From everything down to costuming and set design it impressed. Even Sigourney Weaver, the star of the four original films in the Alien series, praised the performance.
The only downside of the play is that it originally only ran for two days, but the high school and its drama club has made the decision to bring it back for at least one more show on April 26 at 8 PM, in the high school’s auditorium.
Even the day the high school chose was clearly carefully thought out: April 26 is “Alien Day,” an annual event celebrating all things Alien-related, usually involving the release of official merchandise and sweepstakes for limited edition merchandise.
Tickets are available to purchase right now on North Bergen High’s Theater and Arts Foundation’s page–we recommend that you order them right away if you’re interested, as seating is limited! There is also more information on the play on the site.
