The Legend of Zelda series is one almost as old as videogames themselves and it seems that we might just have been a small sneak peek and a potential developer for the next in the iconic series, but we’re pretty sure it’s not who you might expect.

In a recent social media post it seems that Monolith Software might have outed themselves – outed might be the wrong word actually as they’ve pretty much just said that they’re working on it. The developer behind the beloved Xenoblade series revealing that it is currently hiring staff to develop another project and adventure in the world of Hyrule for The Legend of Zelda series.

Currently, the posting is calling for technical artists, programmers, planners, designers, and management support for the project but it’s likely that there’ll be additional postings in the coming months. The posting can be accessed via the recruitment page, here.

Fans shouldn’t be too worried by the news of a new developer however, as Monolith’s pedigree for working within the series is actually historic and well-founded. For example, the development studio helped with the landscape design for the incredible 2017 release of Breath of the Wild and also worked on the arguably less stellar but still enjoyable Skyward Sword.

This comes in the wake of news we’ve had previously about the next addition in the franchise as it was announced a game had gone into production in late 2017 and also that Nintendo was hiring for the project more recently. It seems that only time will tell what the next adventure in Hyrule will hold for us, watch this space.
