According to a recent report, Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. will be the latest movie to receive a spin-off series for Disney’s upcoming streaming service, Disney+.
Monsters At Work as it’s called is set to take a deep dive into the Monster world following the events of the movie, showing how Monstropolis works now it’s fuelled by laughter and not screams. Billy Crystal and John Goodman are set to return as Mike and Sully, along with new cast members Ben Feldman, Kelly Marie Tran, Henry Winkler, and Lucas Neff.
The show is set to be set six months after the first movie and will follow Tylor Tuskmon (Feldman), a mechanic who works at Monsters, Inc. and has big dreams of working on the Laugh Floor with Mike and Sully.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the show is expected to land on the streaming service in 2020.
We still are none the wiser as to Disney’s plans for Disney+, while we know it’ll be the home to Disney’s vast library of movies as well as new, original, content, we’re unsure of the pricing or launch date for the service.
