Blizzard has announced that Overwatch‘s next event, Storm Rising, is set to take place next week on Tuesday, April 16.
In Overwatch Storm Rising, players can play as Tracer, Genji, Winston, or Mercy, as they track down the Omnic Talon boss, Maximilien, but there’s a storm coming, so players must race against the clock to extract Max before he vanishes once again.

As this is an Overwatch Archives event, it’ll give players who are interested in learning more lore, get their fill as previous missions, Uprising and Retribution will be replayable, both offering players a chance to experience those key moments in Overwatch history once more.
Oh, and there’s plenty of cosmetic items on offer too (over 160 of them!).
As for the new hero, Blizzard previously teased the Storm Rising event via a newspaper clipping of The Havana Sun which detailed the controversial history of the Don Rumbotico distillery. This tease was accompanied by a decrypted audio recording detailing the above mission, the voice in the audio recording signed herself off as Sojourn.
This has caused many to speculate that another new character is on the cards as Sojourn has never been mentioned before and seems to be a key part of the Storm Rising mission.
Of course, with the recent release of Baptiste, I’d be surprised if Blizzard popped out another character so soon. But hey, I wouldn’t put it past them.
