Since the release of FromSoftware’s latest title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the raging debate over difficulty and accessibility has yet again been stoked. With one side advocating that difficult games should include an “easy-mode”, while the other tells them to stop whining and “Git Gud”.

However, we aren’t here today to dive down that rabbit hole, but instead, focus on a much lighter issue this argument has generated. The Sekiro Meme. After all, if your “issue” hasn’t sparked a flood of new meme’s, is it really even an issue in the first place??

Our benefactor goes by the Twitter handle Fetusberry, who, after reading a story in PCGamer which detailed a way to use a specific mod to cheese the final boss, decided to take to Twitter to air his grievances.

This tweet has sparked quite a few solid memes. Memes of such caliber even Mario and Sonic had to get in on it. This tweet isn’t just a complaint towards someone who found a way to cheat the game, it’s a testament to Fetusberry’s strong resolution and honor.

For Fetusberry is a true Shinobi, one whose respect must be earned, and those who cheat the game must understand what they’ve passed up on. Since posting, his tweet has garnered over 20,000 likes and thousands of retweets.

Below is just a sampling of the great memes coming out of this controversy.

While the true seriousness of the post will never be known for sure, Fetusberry has since responded to becoming a meme-sensation overnight. It’s nice to see him being a good sport about the whole thing.

So there you have it, friends, a new meme to pass around so you can stay hip and relevant with all your cool meme cohorts. If you stumble upon your own variations of this great new meme be sure to post them in our comment section below.

For those that haven’t done so already, you can find our review of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice here, and be sure to check back with us for all of your other nerd culture needs!

If you need me, I’ll be fighting the final boss the old fashioned way… since Sekiro doesn’t have mod support on the PS4.
