With the world of movies and TV moving so fast, and a big summer of new releases ahead of us here’s a look of the film and tv trailers from the past week that you might have missed.

Movies

Toy Story 4

So let’s start with one of the most eagerly awaited sequels of the year – Toy Story 4. There were actually two trailers released this week for Toy Story 4, most of it was the same except the second one explored a bit more of what is happening with Buzz Lightyear.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold

This one is a bit more bizarre – a live action Dora the Explorer. Yes crazy right. The film trailer shows Dora as a mix of Lara Croft and Indiana Jones. Check the trailer and form your own opinion.

Dora and the City of Gold hits theatres on August 1, 2019

Angry Birds 2

I have no idea why they’re making a sequel for this but they are. The first film was okay and I guess kids liked it? Doesn’t seem if there is anything new happening in this sequel though.

Angry Birds 2 hits theatres on July 30, 2019

UglyDolls

Keeping on the kid’s films for a moment – UglyDolls. This film is put down as an animated comedy musical and features the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull, Nick Jonas, Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX. Yeah that kind of movie.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

Now onto something more scary, maybe keep the kids away from this. This film is based on a series of books and well, just watch the trailer, it tells you everything to expect.

The Silence

More horror, this time featuring Stanley Tucci. Something about creatures and all that jazz.

The Silence hits Netflix on April 10, 2019

Annabelle Comes Home

Another horror trailer. This leads on from the first Annabelle film but not the second as that was a prequel to the first. It makes sense some how, but some more creepy doll work in a horror.

Mary Magdelene

Yeah, it’s that story again. I won’t say anymore.

TV

Pennyworth

A TV series about Alfred Pennyworth (Batman’s butler in case you didn’t know). He strangely could get away with James Bond, but the trailer is enough to keep you hooked.

The 100 (Season 6)

Not much to say about this, just that it’s the season 6 trailer to The 100.

The Son (Season 2)

Can’t say I’ve watched the first season, but hey it has Pierce Brosnan in, it must be good right?

The Protector (Season 2)

A Netflix Original about a man discovering he has special powers. This series is in Turkish, but it is an enjoyable watch.

And a Featurette…

Avengers: Endgame Featurette

I’ve decided to leave you lovely people with a featurette that was released this weak. Most of it is nothing new, but there are a couple of additional clips from the Endgame trailer worth watching. Less than a month everyone!
