Unsurprisingly Sony’s hotly anticipated first-party title, Days Gone, has managed to leap to the top of the UK Gaming Charts this week, comfortably beating another new entry, Mortal Kombat 11.
While Days Gone performed well in the sales chart – which itself is pretty quiet at the moment – sales were 27% lower than Sony’s previous first-party title, God of War. Though considering it’s a new IP it’s not a bad result at all.
As for NeatherRealm’s latest fighting game, Mortal Kombat 11 sees a 43.6% drop in sales compared to Mortal Kombat X though back in 2015 digital sales were still very minimal. As for NeatherRealm’s other fighting series, Mortal Kombat 11 actually sold a little better than Injustice 2.
This, of course, pushes last week’s number one title down to tenth place following a 70% drop in sales which is pretty shocking. Though Saber Interactive announced recently that the game has sold over a million copies, with digital being the biggest split, and PC sales taking a chunk of it overall.
The remaining charts are pretty same-old with dips across the board, though titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Forza Horizon 4 and even Metro Exodus saw an uptick in sales, likely due to price promotions.
