After many rumors, Microsoft is set to unveil their all-digital Xbox One S this week, according to one source.
According to the German site, WinFuture.de, the Xbox One S All-Digital, as it’s called (or Xbox One SAD for short…) is a new Xbox One S system which ditches the disc drive in favor of an all-digital future. It’s set to ship with a 1TB HDD and come packed with three pre-loaded titles which according to another report are Forza Horizon 3, Minecraft, and Sea of Thieves.
I’m presuming that the inclusion of Forza Horizon 3 is a typo, as it’d make more sense for Microsoft to pack in Forza Horizon 4. Either that or this rumor is just inaccurate – as always take this information with a pinch of salt.
The WinFuture report also indicates it’ll ship at a much lower price point of 229 Euros.
With Microsoft planning to host another Inside Xbox showcase tomorrow, it’s likely that this is when the company will unveil the new console. What’s more, previous rumors have stated that the console will be launching in May, so we can likely expect a release date alongside the announcement.
