Zac Efron takes a step away from his usual charming side to feature as America’s most notorious serial killer, Ted Bundy in a new trailer for Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
Netflix and Sky’s biographical drama will take a look at Bundy’s life and his ‘perfect’ relationship with his girlfriend Liz Kendall (played by Lily Collins), and how it all changes when he is arrested for a ‘series of increasingly grisly murders’.
Alongside Efron and Collins, John Malkovich will star as judge Edward Cowart. Haley Joel Osmont, Kaya Scoledario, and Jim Parsons will also appear in the film. This second trailer shows a much darker tone when compared with the first trailer.
The film itself got mixed reviews when it was shown at the Sundance Film Festival, but Efron’s portrayal of the killer drew in praise.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile will be available on Netflix on 3 May.
