Disney and Marvel have announced that the latest blockbuster hit, Avengers: Endgame will be coming to Disney+ later this year.

Disney has announced that Avengers: Endgame will launch exclusively on Disney+ on December 11. Disney’s Bob Iger made the announcement as part of the company’s quarterly earnings report this week.

It’s no secret that Avengers: Endgame is a pretty big hit, already the movie has shattered records earning $1.2 billion on its opening weekend.

This is absolutely insane news as the movie has only just hit theatres, so the fact that it’s appearing on streaming services within the year is a little mindblowing. Though, given that Avengers: Endgame has already overtaken Titanic as the second biggest movie of all time at the box office, it makes sense Disney would want to keep that train rolling as they launch their new streaming service.

Disney+ is expected to launch on November 12 for $6.99 a month. It’s likely going to get a big push from The House of Mouse over the holiday season and this is one of the ways Disney likely hopes will bring more fans to the service.

It’s worth noting that Endgame will probably be available to purchase on DVD and Blu-ray before then, however.
