Call of Duty: Mobile will get its own version of the Battle Royale mode, Blackout, with 100 players facing it off, but… on mobile. Though I guess if Fortnite can do it?
It feels like it’s been too long since I bothered to make a complaint about Activision’s sales chart-dominating series, Call of Duty. This time though the main series is safe as the mobile release of the franchise makes a big reveal.
Call of Duty: Mobile has revealed to have a 100 player Battle Royale mode. Wow, what a unique idea! Wait no it isn’t. Ever since the reveal that the title will be making its way over to western audiences thanks to a successful release to Asian audiences.
Unlike Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode, the mobile game is said to feature historic franchise locations from the Modern Warfare Universe making for a more nostalgic and unrecognizably familiar map to it’s bigger, badder brother. That isn’t to say that the game won’t be taking a leaf out of the formers book considering that there is rumored to be different classes to choose from.
For those of you not into the whole scramble after being jettisoned out of some form of aircraft to outplay 99 equally bloodthirsty lunatics, there is said to be some traditional PvP game modes coming directly into your hands as well as the series mainstay secondary mode Zombies. These are also said to house many classic maps again from the Black Ops and Modern Warfare Universes in a mish-mash of adrenaline.
At the moment Call of Duty: Mobile is running out its western beta on Android as I write this down, meaning those with their swish iPhone Xs Max Supreme 9000 will have to wait a little longer than the rest. So go click over here to do so.
