LEGO has just recently announced an after-hours launch event for a new set at its Flatiron District store in New York City.
The after-hours event promises that attendees will be the first in the United States to see and purchase the new set, though, on the Facebook event page, LEGO says that quantities will be limited.
Attendees will also be able to “take part in a special building experience” and take selfies in front of an “exclusive LEGO mural.” There will also be refreshments available for attendees.
There has been no word on what the set will be, though. LEGO’s website emphasizes the fact that something “STRANGE” is happening at the Flatiron store. Meanwhile, the Facebook Event’s cover photo has a fairly standard “Save the Date” message–but the text is flipped upside-down. A few Facebook users have their money on a Stranger Things set.
It seems, though, that barring a leak, we will all have to wait until 9 PM on May 14 to see what LEGO has in store for their loyal builders. There is no word at this time on whether this is a ticketed event or not.
