Ghostbusters: The Video Game is getting the remastered treatment for modern consoles Saber Interactive and Mad Dog Games has announced. This news comes hot of the heels of several rating boards leaking the announcement.
Saber Interactive and Mad Dog Games, who now owns the IP, is bringing the last-gen release to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year. The game, which was written by Dan Aykroyd and the late Harold Ramis, features not only the whole of the original cast, but also many supporting characters, too.
The game, for those who missed out on it the first time around, has players take on the role of a new recruit to the Ghostbusters and just in the nick of time too as New York is once again being overrun by the undead.
Fans of the first two movies will also get a kick out of all of the little callbacks and easter eggs found in the game, too. I’m sure many can agree that this is a remaster we didn’t necessarily ask for, but one we’re pretty happy to get.
