Codemasters has today announced that its GRID franchise is making a comeback with a new title launching on September 12, 2019.
Simply titled GRID, this fourth entry into the series will bring back many of the much-loved features from the franchise including cars from GT, Touring, Stock, Muscle, Super-Modified, and then some, as well as race types such as Circuit, Street Racing, Ovals, Hot Laps, Point-to-Point, and World Time Attack.
All of this and more will span across four continents which feature some of the world’s most famous streets and circuits.
With the strides that Codemasters has made in recent years with both its F1 series as well as the success of the DIRT revival, you can definitely expect a lot to come from GRID later this year. Furthermore, Fernando Alonso acclaimed F1, Endurance, and Stock Racing driver, has signed on as Race Consultant as well as appearing in-game.
In GRID players will be able to take on a number of events against Alonso’s esports driving team, FA Racing, across different classes of racing before coming face-to-face with Alonso in his Renault R26 F1 car.
Players can pre-order GRID today, as well as the game’s Ultimate Edition which grants players early access to the title as well as Season 1-3 of content. Info on said content can be found on the game’s website.
