Bandai Namco has announced that Supermassive Games’ upcoming nautical horror title, Man of Medan, is set to launch on August 30.
Part of The Dark Pictures Anthology, Man of Medan will throw players on a small dive boat as a group of friends and their skipper embark on an adventure searching for a WW2 wreck with plenty of partying along the way.
Much like Until Dawn things are set to take a disastrous turn when a storm rolls in and the four friends find themselves trapped on board a ghost ship that’s set to torment the group as they attempt to find their way off the ship and the horrors it holds within.
Players can pre-order Man of Medan today at select retailers. Those who do pre-order are given Day 1 access to the Curator’s Cut, a new path from a completely new perspective. This Cut is unlocked once players complete the main game once. The Curator’s Cut will also be unlocked for all players at a later date.
“The Curator’s Cut is different to the traditional Director’s Cut as it gives the player new ways to directly influence the story and its outcomes. Players will see and change events and relationships from the perspective of characters that weren’t under control in their first playthrough.” said Pete Samuels: Executive Producer, The Dark Pictures Anthology, Supermassive Games.
“It adds a whole new layer to how the player understands and interacts with the story in a way that’s never been done before, and we’re excited for people to experience it.”
