Last July, the “Pokémon Fit” plush collection began its release cycles in Japan. Just under a year later, the series has been made available in the United States under the name “Sitting Cuties.”
The “Sitting Cuties” line consists of plushes of all of the Gen I Pokémon, that is, the first 151 Pokémon created. That’s right, even Pokémon that may have never gotten the plush treatment are available or will be available shortly as a part of this line.
Each plush runs between 4 and 8 inches, hence the Japanese name of “Fit”–they’re so small they can fit just about anywhere! They retail for $10.99 on the Pokémon Center website, plus shipping costs. Although there has not been an official confirmation at this time, we would guess at least some of the “Sitting Cuties” will make it to the Nintendo stores in New York and California too.
At this time, 144 of the 151 Pokémon are available as plushes. We’re still waiting for the release of Butterfree, Clefable, Dragonite, Magnemite, Magneton, Mew, and Snorlax, though they should be arriving soon.
