What does it mean? Where is there anything related to the highly anticipated upcoming Pokémon 2019 titles Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield? Well, all Pokémon games have code names during production; Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu! & Let’s Go Eevee! was codenamed “Beluga”, Black 2 & White 2 was codenamed Swan, XY was codenamed Kujira (Whale), and ORAS was codenamed Sango (coral or after childbirth in English!), you get the idea.
Reportedly, the codename for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield is Koala! Is it making sense yet?
Within the data for the latest update contains text related to a separate app know as Koala. There is no detailed information yet, but it echoes the previous patch data that was implemented to enable compatibility with the Beluga App (AKA Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu & Eevee), where you transfer only your Kanto ‘mons and their various alternate forms.
How much compatibility are you hoping for between Sword & Shield? Let us know below in the comments section.
