It’s that time of the month again, after May’s successful Torchic Community Day in Pokémon Go, the announcement for June’s has just come in.
The Pokémon Company and Niantic Labs has revealed that on 8 June 2019 from 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. (worldwide local time) Slakoth will be the focus of a Community Day boost in spawn rate, and as with all other Community Day Pokemon if you evolve it up to its final form within three hours of the event end you’ll end up with an exclusive move.
The docile sloth evolves into Vigoroth with twenty-five candies and then goes on to evolve into Slaking starting at using a mighty one hundred candies.
Slaking’s exclusive move has not been confirmed yet, but it is sure to be yet another powerful meta game changer. The community day’s other bonuses consisting of three-hour lures (this includes the new Glacial, Mossy and Magnetic Lures), a quarter egg hatching walk distance and of course the chance to unlock shiny variants of the lazy Normal-type Pokemon.
The incredibly slow but hyper cute Slakoth is usually very rare in the wild 8 June 2019 will be another excellent opportunity to fill up some of those gaps in your ‘dex. Using Professor Birch levels of calculation, I have deduced the next community event being held in August should be Mudkip and its watery evolutions. Though we’d love to hear your thoughts as to which Pokémon may be next! Leave a comment below!
