Nintendo has revealed that Super Mario Maker 2 will come with the addition of multiplayer allowing players to take on their wild creations together.
During a dedicated Direct broadcast earlier this week Nintendo unveiled the game’s multiplayer mode that’ll have players not only create levels together but also play through both locally created and levels created by players across the globe.
In addition to co-op and multiplayer, the game will include an absolute bucket-load of new tools from slopes to Angry Suns to Snake Block, On/Off Switches, Seesaw, and much much more. Along with that a bunch of new themes will also be coming to the game including Desert, Snow, Forest, and Sky.
If that wasn’t all, Super Mario Maker 2 will include a single player mode which features over 200 Nintendo-created levels which will have players earn coins to help them rebuild Peach’s castle.
There’s definitely a lot to go through. To get the full details I recommend checking out the full Direct broadcast below. It’s around 15 minutes long and will give the full low-down on some of the many new things coming later this year.
Nintendo has also revealed that players will be required to have a Nintendo Online subscription in order to share and download player-created levels as well as use the multiplayer features. But don’t fret as Nintendo is offering a bundle that includes a year Nintendo Online subscription.
Super Mario Maker 2 will be launching on the Switch on June 28.
