Team Sonic Racing has topped the UK Gaming Charts this week with retail sales more than double that of its predecessor, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

It’s a pretty impressive feat considering the game isn’t all that great. That being said, it seems to have won over many as this is the first time a Sonic the Hedgehog game has topped the charts since Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games in 2008. I suppose it’s about time Sonic had some good news.

Elsewhere in the charts, we saw two new releases, Everybody’s Golf VR for PS4 which landed in twenty-second place followed by Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered which bumped up to fifteenth place thanks to the Switch release.

Last week’s number one title, RAGE 2, has actually had a significant drop from the top falling to fourth place with a 73% decline being outsold by Days Gone and FIFA 19, respectively.

Here’s the full rundown:

  1. Team Sonic Racing
  2. Days Gone
  3. FIFA 19
  4. RAGE 2
  5. Red Dead Redemption II
  6. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
  7. Mortal Kombat 11
  8. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  9. Grand Theft Auto V
  10. Forza Horizon 4
