Avengers: Endgame is continuing to wow at the Box Office surpassing $2 billion worldwide this past weekend putting it just ahead of Titanic as number two all-time.
This honestly comes as no surprise considering how well the movie has been received over the past two weeks. Avengers: Endgame is well on its way to becoming the number one all-time too, which is currently Avatar with $2.7 billion.
This past weekend Endgame earned itself a cool $147,383,211 at the box office, which is actually a 58% drop on last week, though that’s not that bad, considering.
Elsewhere we have a number of new entries this week, starting with Screen Gem’s thriller, The Intruder which scores itself a nice $10,855,054 opening weekend. This is followed by another new entry with Lionsgate’s Long Shot and STX’s animated feature UglyDolls with $9,740,064 and $8,603,407 respectively.
This pushes another Marvel flick, Captain Marvel, down to fifth place which earned $4,282,244 over the weekend. This pushes the latest standalone Marvel superhero movie at $1.12 billion globally.
Coming in just under Captain Marvel is Fox’s drama, Breakthrough with just under 4 million, not bad for its third week. After this is previous box office front runner, The Curse of La Llorona, which falls from third place down to seventh with $3 million.
That isn’t the only movie that’s falling, as both Shazam! and Dumbo have been pushed almost out of the top ten this weekend earning $2,504,958 and $1,511,608, respectively.
