In the wake of the fairly confusingly named Call of Duty: Modern Warfare announcement we were treated to last week fans could be forgiven for being a little cautious in investing in this latest edition of the longstanding FPS franchise.
However, news on the title is now beginning to trickle out ahead of a likely appearance at E3, notably, during an interview with PlayStation Lifestyle, Campaign director Jacob Minkoff explained that the “single-player storyline goes directly into the co-op storyline.”
It has not yet been made clear exactly what fans can expect from this co-op campaign but its probably safe to say that it’ll include a good amount of shooting. It could mean that our actions in single-player will affect the co-op campaign or vice versa, or it could mean that there might be some form of branching story path in the game, a definite first for the series.
What we are sure of is that the creators over at Infinity Ward have set out to design the grittiest entry in the Modern Warfare franchise and judging by the trailer we got last week, it certainly looks to be heading in that direction. As for more news on the latest in the series, all roads lead to E3 2019.
