If like me, you’re still using a 500GB hard drive in your console, you may be in for a shock: the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 might require a hefty 80GB of storage space.
While there’s no confirmation from the developers yet, the game’s PlayStation Store listing indicates that “80GB minimum” will be required to play the game. For all we know, this could just be a placeholder, but there’s rarely smoke without fire.
For comparison, CDPR’s previous game, The Witcher 3, took up a little over half of that, even with all of its expansions included. Expansions and all, it required approximately 50GB of your hard drive. That said, there’s still about ten months until Cyberpunk launches; plenty can change between now and then.
News regarding Cyberpunk 2077 has been sporadic for the past several years, but the game resurfaced dramatically at E3 this year. It’s even set to star Keanu Reeves, because why not?
