Twilight Zone fans the world over could probably tell you that this year marks the sixtieth anniversary of the original Twilight Zone‘s series premiere. Binghamton, New York, original series creator Rod Serling’s hometown and the Rod Serling Memorial Foundation aren’t letting the special anniversary pass without comment.
We’ve known for a while that there will be a sixtieth-anniversary bash for The Twilight Zone this October in Binghamton, but the Rod Serling Memorial Foundation has recently released more event details.
The event will run from October 4 through 6, a Friday through Sunday. Although events and locations for Friday have not been announced yet, we know that events on Saturday, October 5, will last from 10 AM to 8 PM at the Broome County Forum Theatre, and events on Sunday, October 6, 10 AM to 6 PM at the Helen Foley Theatre of Binghamton High School.
A complete schedule of events has not been released at this time, but author guests have been announced. Anne Serling, Rod Serling’s daughter, will be attending, as will Scott Skelton, Mark Olshaker, Nicholas Parisi, Mark Dawidziak, Martin Grams, Jr., Reba Wissner, Amy Boyle Johnston and Tony Albarella. Billy Mumy–who Zone fans might know better as Anthony, Billy, or Pip–will also be “appearing” via livestream during the day’s events on October 5.
Tickets to this event are currently available online. It is $40 for a weekend pass. Tickets will be available at the door, but prices for that have not been announced at this time.
