Microsoft concluded its stacked E3 2019 press conference with a cinematic trailer for Halo Infinite.
In the trailer, we saw a stranded UNSC soldier who has seemingly lost all hope while floating through space in a small ship. Suddenly, the ship picks up on a friendly presence nearby and to everyone’s excitement, it’s Master Chief.
According to Chris Lee (Studio Head of Halo Infinite), the trailer is an in-game scene from their latest game.
The CGI trailer gave us a great look at Master Chief and filled him in quickly on the events he’s missed since Halo 5 ended. We can see from the trailer that this game takes place a few years after Halo 5. The trailer ends after Chief is, immediately after waking up again, ready to continue the fight but then we get an extra scene where we hear Cortana’s voice.
Cortana leaves us with some closing lines, “I chose you because you were special. I knew we would be perfect together. And I was right.”
The sixth mainline Halo game will launch on Xbox One, PC, and Project Scarlet in Holiday 2020.
