Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous Still

Netflix has announced a brand new animated series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, the latest addition to the Jurassic World franchise.

The upcoming animation, much like any other Jurassic Park/World movie, follows a group of unsuspecting protagonists who decide to do something stupid which only ends in disaster. This time, it’s a gaggle of teens who, while on Isla Nublar, decide to take a trip to the opposite side of the island to visit a new camp.

Of course, this means our group wanders deep into the dino-infested island and end up being terrorized by dinos. According to a press release, the group comes together, going “from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive.” Isn’t that nice?

A trailer for the new series has also been revealed which shows a good 30 seconds of Camp Cretaceous in all its animated glory. The series is being run by Scott Kreamer (Pinky Malinky) and Lane Lueras (Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny) with Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and director Colin Trevorrow as executive producers.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will debut in 2020.
