It’s been three years now since Pokémon Go first made us leave the comfort of our homes in search of wild creatures to catch, and Nintendo’s hit mobile game is showing no signs of slowing down. Its third-anniversary celebration, featuring a host of goodies and bonuses, starts June 28.

Starting tomorrow at 1pm PDT, trainers will be able to catch shiny variants of certain Alolan Pokémon: Rattata, Sandshrew, Vulpix, Diglett, Meowth, Geodude, Grimer, and Exeggutor. Additionally, items for your avatar featuring each team leader’s style will be available in the shop.

Starting at the same time and lasting until 1pm PDT on July 6, there’s a chance you might encounter a Pikachu wearing a party hat when you use the GO Snapshot feature. Also, party-hat Pichu will be found in 7km eggs.

Lastly, from June 26 all the way until September 2, Trainers can look forward to the following bonuses:

  • New special research intended to jump-start new or resumed adventures. These will only be available during the summer event and can be completed by all players level 10 and above
  • You’ll gain extra Premier Balls to help catchy those elusive Raid Battle bosses
  • All trades will see a 25% reduction in Stardust cost

It’s looking to be a good month for Pokémon Go. Good luck out there, Trainers!
