Deep Silver has announced that the oft-delayed title, Shenmue 3, will be delayed once again, now set to launch on November 19.
Creator and director Yu Suzuki revealed the news yesterday saying that the game is almost done, but it “simply needs a little more refinement before being truly finished.” This means we’ll have to wait a little longer before we can get back behind the forklift as Ryo Hazuki.
“We feel that the extra time we have will help us deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve!” the message concluded.
The game was originally crowdfunded back in 2015 and was set to arrive in 2017 before being delayed to 2018. It was the delayed further to August 27, 2019, but it looks like those additional two years wasn’t enough.
I suppose we could take comfort in the fact that the delay is only a few months rather than an additional year as per previous delays.
