Bungie recently released a developer insight video that gives us an awesome behind the scenes view at the creation, or re-creation, of one of Destiny’s oldest locations, the Moon.
The Moon was a Destiny 1 location originally, but if this video is any proof, Bungie has been hard at work revamping the area for a completely new, bigger experience. In fact, this version is at least twice as big as the original! While long-time players will certainly recognize some familiar areas, they have all received a welcome facelift with new textures and lighting.
Add to this the new, ghost-like specters suspended throughout the underground and players will seemingly have a hauntingly new experience in front of them. The Hive have long been the inhabitants of the Moon, and this new expansion will bring us right to the doorstep of their new fortress. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is set to release on September 17, 2019. Conveniently, that is the same day Destiny 2: New Light drops, which is the free-to-play base game along with all of its year one content. Be sure to check out the Developer Insight video below!
