Netflix has been doing a solid job of drip-feeding new images for their highly anticipated upcoming The Witcher series. Stills of Henry Cavil’s Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer in full costume have made appearances, but one integral character has yet to be revealed, Roach.
Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich took to Twitter to announce everyone’s favorite equine companion, horse emojis and all.
She also drops a not-so-subtle hint about something else hiding in the image that has been a focal point of all the images released thus far. It’s tricky to see, but if you look to the bottom right of the image, you’ll see a certain wolf-headed sword! This finally seems to confirm whether the series will use the game’s two swords for Geralt versus the book’s one sword.
Henry Cavil and Hissrich have been doing a great job of keeping the hype train moving as San Diego Comic-Con 2019 rapidly approaches. With no release date yet, but a 2019 release promised, I smell a special Netflix reveal a’comin! And what better place to do it than at one of the biggest nerd gatherings in the world?
