The upcoming entry in Nihon Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes saga, Trails of Cold Steel 3, has been delayed. Originally scheduled for launch on September 24 (US) and 27 (Europe), it has now been pushed back to October 22 (NA/EU) and October 29 (Oceania).
Publisher NIS America informed expectant fans of the delay and offered an apology, saying it was to offer the best possible experience for the game. A demo of the game will be available at an unspecified date prior to launch.
Trails of Cold Steel III has been a long time coming, so I can’t imagine a one-month delay will ruffle too many feathers. The first game in the series launched in Japan back in 2013, followed by a sequel a year later.
The initial PS3 and Vita versions of both games were localized for a western release in 2016. By the time Cold Steel III comes out here, it’ll have been roughly three years since we last got a new Cold Steel title.
