This has totally made my day.

Young Horses have announced on Twitter that Octodad: Dadliest Catch will feature a local co-op mode, with a total of four players able to take control of the dapper gentlegangly octopus at one time.

The Saga Continues: King’s Pressure Could Crush Hopes for ‘Banner Saga’...

Aaron did a lovely little write up of the King vs Stoic issue yesterday, in which he discussed King's pending trademark application for the word 'saga' and how the company has filed a Notice Of Opposition to the US Patent and Trademark Office stating that Stoic should be refused the trademark for The Banner Saga because it contained the (not-yet trademarked) noun; ‘saga’.

New Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare Pre-Order Trailer

Alright. So the trailer doesn't really show a lot, it doesn't really tell us anything new, and I'm not really sure if it's even a trailer... but a new 'trailer' has appeared for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare and it seems Microsoft have gone to extraordinary lengths to promote the new Xbox One above the game itself.

Did somebody say... Dark Souls? Eh, well... a whole new set of screenshots and character art appeared online this morning for Dark Souls II from Namco Bandai.

Octodad Swims to Shore, Arrives on the 30th for Mac, Linux...

There are no words for the amount of enjoyment I got from Octodad; a game initially created by a bunch of students at DePaul University for entry to the Independent Games Festival student competition but which quickly spiraled (through attention from the press) into a must-have indie experience. Playing as 'Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human' the player must control Octodad through his life, which is, of course 'a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family'. Magic.

Going through the Motions: DOTA 2 and the Steam Controller

On the first day Valve had a great idea, 'let's make a gaming platform called Steam, on which users can purchase games and play them with their friends.' Steam was born, and it was good.

Go DuckDuckGo, Go! Secretive Search Engine Handled Over 1 Billion Queries...

Following last years revelations that the NSA had been spying on you, your family, your friends, your cat, your friends cat, and load of other cats in many different countries, people (and cats) have been chatting furiously with other people (and cats) about how they can protect their privacy online.

Pachter Predicts Xbox One Price Drop

Michael Pachter, Research Analyst as US firm Wedbush Securities has claimed that, 'it is possible that Microsoft will reduce Xbox One pricing far faster than we have forecasted. Should hardware prices come down faster than we have modeled, it is likely that hardware and software sales will grow faster,' and is expecting to see a drop of $150 (to $349) over the next three years. Of course, the other consoles will be dropping their prices too; Pachter predicting a 50 percent drop on the Wii U to $150 by 2017, and a $100 drop on the PS4 to $299 by the same date - but the Xbox One will experience the heaviest fall.
GTA Online

GTA Online will ‘Evolve’, reveals Aaron Garbut

The lucky folks at Edge had a chat with Aaron Garbut (Art Director, GTA V) and the glorious results of their conversation can now be found online. The article gives you a great insight into the inner workings of Rockstar and the game industry generally, but I'm particularly hyped about what he has to say about GTA Online.

Top Selling Video Games of 2013 (UK)

Yes! You guessed it! Ashes Cricket 2013 was the best selling video game of 2013 in the UK!

Okay, okay... you got me... the best selling game of 2013 in the UK was in fact Rockstar's GTA V with a massive 3,670,234 units sold this year! EA's FIFA 14 comes in at a not-really-that-close second with 2,656,763, and the full lineup looks a little like this
