#Throwback Thursday – Black and White

The murky blue depths try to pull a small child down into the never-ending waves. His parents frantically call for help but there is no one to be found. Desperation leads them to kneel and call out to the heavens, 'Please, someone help us', they cry. As they pray, way up in the stars something is born; it's a faceless entity of unimaginable power. A ruthless beast who prays upon those who wander the world maybe. Perhaps a benevolent overseer with untold scope for care and compassion. Whatever this God is, this God, is you...
Killer-Instinct

#ThrowbackThurday Killer Instinct (SNES).

The new Killer Instinct was announced a few weeks ago at Microsoft's E3 press conference, I am so excited that I wanted to take a journey back in time to magical land of the 90's, which was the golden age of video gaming consoles and PC's alike. So lets start at 1995: This game originally was conceived for the N64 when at the time it was still in it's prototype under the name Ultra 64, but it did not come out on the console because it was delayed so many times until eventually it ended up on the SNES and the graphics were not as good as the arcade version. But it did not stop it from being an excellent game.

Ah the Super Nintendo, who does love this game console? well, maybe if you were a SEGA fan boy you won't, but still if you did own a SNES I have no doubt that you owned this title as it was one of the launch title for the system. This has to be one of my favourite games for the this game console as it was one of the first games that I played when I was a child. So let's dive into one of the best Mario games of the 90's.

#ThrowbackThursday: Resident Evil

Before Capcom decided to do what every company does and go about the actions of “Change” I would like to point out to the new generation of Gamers that Resident Evil was never an over the shoulder 3rd person action shooter. It began as a survival horror filled with puzzles, eerie atmosphere and a hell of a lot of zombies. As well as a lot of locked camera angles to make the game far more intense.

Even Microsoft is Taking on Snapchat with New App WindUp

Snapchat, the ephemeral messaging app, got its fame by offering its users the ability to send picture messages to friends that would disappear into oblivion after a certain amount of seconds. At first we didn't think it'd take off and would just be full of people sending.. private images to each other, but it seems to have been adopted as more of a private messaging app for younger teens who feel that apps like Facebook have their parents watching over their shoulders. Since the apps success, Facebook and Instagram have all tried to create their own apps, and now Microsoft is on the case too with their new WindUp app.
ST Pod Racer Revenge

#ThrowbackThursday – Star Wars Pod Racer Revenge.

You may of heard of a small film franchise called Star Wars. It's been out for a few years and there's a few people who like it. This film franchise has lead to an astonishing amount of games, some I've owned and loved, some I probably didn't know existed. But there was one Star Wars game that stood out even years after playing it, Pod Racer Revenge...

#Throwback Thursday | Defender of the Crown

Genial all-rounder and perennial Errol Flynn lookalike Wilfred of Ivanhoe. Metrosexual people's champ Wolfric the Wild. Loveable bumbler Cedric of Rotherwood. The walking penis-metaphor that is Geoffrey Longsword. The characters from Cinemaware's mid-eighties classic Defender of the Crown are, in many ways, a fine introduction to having children...

#Throwback Thursday – Zombies ate my Neighbors.

After seeing so many titles for zombie games it made me think about all the old titles prior to this generation of the Zombie genre in video games. It has made me think about the change between the staggering, limping zombies to the sprinting, punching infected as were calling them now, you know, because they have feelings too. So I thought I’d go back into the past and play “Zombies ate my neighbors".

#ThrowbackThursday: The Firemen.

Now there have been a lot of genres throughout the gaming industry, knights saving princesses, aliens invade earth, and the old classic "you are the only one that can stop that evil guy", to name but a few. Now when it’s comes to terms of originality for games, The Firemen, just might have been given a ribbon and a pat on the back. The Firemen? With a name like that surely you play as a couple of guys with the power of flames, right? Well reader, you’re wrong. You just play as a fire fighter, fighting fires.
