Developer DICE recently announced that their world war 1 shooter Battlefield 1 would be getting monthly updates from now on.
With an Xbox One free weekend coming ever closer, Electronic Arts has decided to detail what's in store for players of their World War 1 shooter, Battlefield 1.
It looks like we've got some good and some bad news for Battlefield fans. According to EA, they have no plans to release another Battlefield game for a good couple of years as they work to release a new Battlefront title.
As we're slowly entering the predefined "holiday period" some of this year's big hitters have already stormed the charts creating quite a stir. What usually consists of a battle between Call of Duty and FIFA, the fight has started early this year with EA's Battlefield 1 which unsurprisingly remains at the top of the charts this week.
It comes as little surprise, but EA have knocked themselves off the top spot this week with Battlefield 1. FIFA 17 sat comfortably for the past three weeks on top, but it looks like people's penchant for a world war shooter has overcome their need to kick balls around a field.
So we've all most likely had a taste of Battlefield 1's insane multiplayer, but what about the campaign? Will it contain a story that'll really keep us glued to the screen, or will we be immediately jumping out in favour of the fast-paced multiplayer?
The Battlefield 1 open beta came to a glorious end last week and now EA Games has arrived with a lovely infographic showing off exactly what players got upto during their time with the game.
Much like other Battlefield titles, Battlefield 1 will also have its own Premium season-pass. Called the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, it'll give players early access to four upcoming expansions to the game, and much more.
Electronic Arts has discussed its sales expectations for both Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2, two of its biggest games of this year. That being said, the company is lowering its expectations for Battlefield 1, but ensures Titanfall 2 will do better than its predecessor.
Sometimes leaks fall of deaf ears, that is until everything in that leak is pretty much confirmed. And that's exactly why a video which was published before the announcement of Battlefield 1 is now only just being noticed.
Battlefield 1's closed alpha, which is currently ongoing for a select number of players, has been extensively data mined and the results are pretty fruitful as almost every major detail about the game has been revealed...
DICE and EA Games have revealed more information on Battlefield 1 including snippets on the game's intuitive destruction, dynamic weather, and of course the largest ever fully playable controlled vehicles.
Not phased by launching two shooters within the same month, EA Games may have let slip that they'll be launching two of this year's biggest shooters within three weeks of each other.
