So yesterday I had the privilege to attend the Eurogamer Expo in London's Earl Court and I hadn't been inside the large exhibition centre five minutes before I was in the queue for Battlefield 4...
One of the big attractions of the Eurogamer Expo for me this year was the chance to play on the next generation consoles, a chance I snapped up as soon as I could, here are my thoughts on the two consoles.
In an extensive blog post EA have released some details about how Battlefield's stat tracking system, Battlelog, will work in conjunction with Battlefield 4.
The next generation of gaming is going to be absolutely fantastic. Not only do we have an amazing collection of games on screen, we're now adding the ability to interact with games off screen using tablets and smartphones. Take Battlefield 4 for example; whilst one player is shooting shit up on the big screen a second player could be letting the first player know where the enemy is or whether flag 'C' is being captured.
On Friday EA revealed that the Open Beta of Battlefield 4 will be making it's way to PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 before the game is released on October 29th. EA also revealed the release dates for the next-gen versions of the game which are November 12 for PlayStation 4 and November 19 for Xbox One - three days before the console releases on November 22.
It was revealed back at E3 that players will see the return of Commander Mode, previously of Battlefield 2, in Battlefield 4. EA have now given us more details about what to expect from the gameplay mechanic...

DICE, the makers of arguably the greatest first person shooters of all time, have announced the first DLC for Battlefield 4, called China Rising.
DICE recently recently Tweeted out two screenshots thanks to player's social engagement on the Battlefield social media sites. These two screenshots show some gritty interior locations which are far from the huge open worlds we've come to expect form Battlefield.

The reveal arrived just like we knew it would, but instead of just a simple launch trailer, EA and DICE have gone one step further and have released 17 minutes of gameplay footage already and I must say, it looks fantastic. It's just a shame Rihanna had to ruin it.
EA are encouraging fans of the Battlefield series to sign up to their site so they eventually reveal more about the next game in the Battlefield series and while you wait you can wipe away the rain to reveal tanks!
Battlefield fans better get excited because in six days time amidst the annual Game Developers Conference the full details for Battlefield 4 will be revealed! News comes in after EA sent out various invites to IGN and other sites which brand the famous Battlefield colours.
