This week we saw Xiaomi take one small step to conquer America in the form of the first official press conference which was held in San Francisco earlier this week. For many there were hopes the company would be dragging a suitcase full of devices set to launch in the US, in stead they simply revealed that they're coming to the US, it's just going to take a little time.

Xiaomi, the creators of the popular MIUI ROM for Android devices have been seeing continued success with their range of MI smartphones. Recently the Chinese company have announced that their second generation MI phone the Xiaomi MI2 has sold over 15 million units.
I'm a huge fan of Xiaomi and their MIUI ROM for Android, I'm also a huge fan of the smartphones the Chinese company has been releasing recently and today's big reveal is no different. Ex Googler Hugo Barra took to Google+ and revealed all on the Xiaomi Redmi a low-priced, decent spec device which is set to debut in Singapore.
I've been a huge fan of Xiaomi for a good few years. I've been keeping an eye on their own-brand Mi phones for some time too just begging that I know someone who'll be going to China soon to pick one up for me, or for some miracle to happen and they start shipping overseas. Well last month it seems the latter happened and there's now a glimmer of hope that a global release of the Mi Phone may happen. Until then however, we must stare at announcements such as this, wiping the drool from our chin as Xiaomi relieved the new Xiaomi Mi-3, the first smartphone to have an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor under the hood.
Xiaomi, the guys behind the popular Android ROM MIUI and the extremely popular handset the Xiaomi MI1 and MI2, have announced the Red Rice, a low-budget handset in collaboration with Chinese Internet giant Tencent. Priced at around $130 this is the cheapest handset that Xiaomi have to offer.
Xiaomi's soon to be released Mi3, or MIUI Phone 3 as I like to call it has recently had it's benchmark leaked at GFXBench which blows both the Galaxy S IV and the HTC One out of the water coming a close third to the HP Slatebook 10 X2 and the NVidia Shield. This particular test is a 3D graphics benchmark which compares performance of phone and tablet GPU’s.
