Following Samsung's tease of their new Samsung Gear S2, Motorola want to remind people of the original round smartwatch, the Moto 360, so like any good competing company, Motorola too have teased their next-generation smartwatch, though I'm not sure it was intentional.
Android Wear Smartwatches have been on the market for a good few months now, and with last year's Google I/O being the time Google officially introduced the wearable operating system, we're yet to hear exactly how well Android Wear powered devices are doing. Thankfully, we have Analysts.
Over the weekend Motorola revealed the update schedule for their Moto 360 smartwatch letting users know exactly when their wearable will be getting the latest version of Android, Android Lollipop, and if you were wondering whether you'd be waiting for a good couple of weeks until the update lands on your device then you're in luck as Android 5.0.1 should be hitting your Moto 360 today!

Earlier this week repair website iFixit went through one of its usual teardowns of the latest tech to not only see what's inside but to rate how repairable the device is. The latest teardown from the company is on Motorola's smartwatch offering the Moto 360 and they came across something pretty interesting. Motorola claim the smartwatch has a 320mAh battery inside, but what iFixit found was a 300mAh battery, 20mAh less than advertised. So what does Motorola have to say for itself?
Well, there goes my hopes of a Moto 360 sitting there under the Chrismas tree as Motorola's highly anticipated wearable, the Moto 360, is selling like hotcakes as the device sold out just three hours after pre-orders were opened last week. Sigh.

Earlier this week Motorola held a competition where they were offering their latest smartwatch, the Moto 360, to twenty lucky winners who managed to have the fastest finger first. Courtesy of Mister Gadget, aka Luca Viscardi we now know a little bit more about one of the most hotly anticipated Android Wear-powered smart watches which is set to land on our wrists later this year. Mister Gadget has released a series of images of the Moto 360 in all of its round-faced glory as well as the stylish wireless charger which turns your charging Moto 360 into a pretty neat looking desk-clock. Mister Gadget also released some snippets of information about the device too.
The Moto 360 is probably the most anticipated smartwatch to come with Android Wear, so much so that when Google reaffirmed at Google I/O last month that the device won't be released until summer, there was a collective groan from attendees. Along with it bring highly anticipated, it may also be the most highly priced Android Wear device compared to the likes of the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live.
There's two things I'm eagerly waiting for this year and they're both the release of the Moto 360 and the Moto X+1, both of which have been touted for release "later this summer." What I didn't expect though, was the release of the Moto 360, the first circular Android Wear powered smartphone to be made available through the Moto Maker, Motorola's platform to personalise Motorola devices.
The Moto 360 is a pretty solid device, there's no microUSB ports and there's no exposed connections so when the subject of how exactly we charge the device we had two options, it was either wireless charging or contained an automatic mechanism which charged the device with the users motion. With the latter likely not being able to provide a substantial amount of charge for smartwatch, so we're left with the former. A recent FCC filing seems to confrim that idea too, stating that the Moto 360 will have a "Wireless Charger."
