The last few years have seen a plethora of video game remakes, remasters and reboots. Now I am a cynical little man and have cast off most as pandering to the sheeple through nostalgia. I, however, have transcended and care not for the revival of old franch- wait. Is that Disgaea 1 on the Nintendo Switch? Fuck what I just said give me that!
Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk is my first foray into the “dungeon crawler” RPG style. Everything you look up about this game references another title, Etrian Odyssey, which looks pretty cool and all, but I’ll tell you here and now that I’ve never played it.
SNK is back with SNK HEROINES Tag Team Frenzy! and is highlighting it's female characters as they jump kick their way into this generation of fighting games.
Happy Birthdays, also known as Birthdays: The Beginning, is coming to Nintendo Switch, NIS America has announced today.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance originally launched for PS4 way back in 2015 but the extra features make the Switch version of this game the definitive edition. It’s the one people who never played it before should play, and could even tempt back lapsed PS4 players for another whirl.
Birthdays the Beginning came as a surprise to me. From NIS America, I just assumed that the game would be another fan-service JRPG so I let it go over my head, that was until I decided to give it a chance, and I'm SO glad I did.

Psycho Pass is one anime series that really caught my attention when I watched it the first time around. With such a rich world, interesting characters and an engaging story, it made for one incredible series.
The Touhou Project franchise, originally created by a single developer known as ZUN and following the misadventures of a massive cast of characters in the mystical world of Gensokyo, is almost unquestionably a super-adorable juggernaut of both the danmaku and anime communities - there's every possibility you may have run into a popular bit of fan content for the series (e.g. Bad Apple or Marisa Stole The Precious Thing) long before you discover that the series started life as a long-running series of independently produced bullet hell games.
One thing I will never understand, but honestly can not get enough of, is video games that have anime openings that have a completely different feel to the rest of the game. Stella Glow is no exception to this rule as I sat watching the opening movie unfold with audio and visuals more outlandish than what I had played so far and you know what? I loved it. Welcome to Stella Glow, a final farewell song from developer imageepoch and a title for your Nintendo 3DS you will love.
It’s not very often I find myself looking on at a game's cutscene and feeling generally confused as to what is unfolding before me. After an intense and somewhat awesome fight with a great and powerful Witch I have just witnessed my master turn this woman into a mouse. Not only that, but she has now summoned some male mice which, and I quote, are horny. As all of them run on into the distance the credits roll and I’m sit confused as to what is going on. Once more, that was only the prologue. Welcome to The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival Edition.
