To celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog's 25th Anniversary, SEGA has decided to partner with the UK's leading fine arts publisher, Washington Green, to have artists produce art pieces inspired by the little blue hedghehog.
Back before there were Xbox and PlayStation, the big console war was between Nintendo and SEGA. Since then, the two have settled there differences, but back in the nineties the feud was well-publicised, and it's looking like it may happen again.
As part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations for Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Team's Takashi Iizuka officially revealed that a brand new Sonic game will be launching in 2017.
Earlier this week SEGA unveiled a brand new Sonic Humble Bundle to celebrate the game's 25th Anniversary, and while it's a pretty good bundle, it's not the news we're looking for, but maybe this is...

Excuse my French, but it's about fucking time. With Sonic's 25th Anniversary well under way, we've all been hoping that SEGA has something fast and blue up their sleeves, and while we have the launch of Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice to look forward to, what we really want is a new Sonic game. And we may finally have that coming.
Something odd is happening. SEGA is teasing something pretty cryptic and something so elaborate, it's a little too hard to believe, but if we're really going to look into things in such detail, let's just go all in... The downfall of Sonic is one of the most widely discussed topics in gaming, and as a shamefully huge Sonic fan myself it’s something I’m pretty well versed in. Fortunately for fans of the latter, Sonic Team has expressed interest in keeping the speedy blue hedgehog alive on consoles in the future.
When Sonic's redesign for Sonic Boom was first unveiled some of us here at n3 towers were a little bitter about such an iconic video game character getting a fairly gaudy redesign. After a bit of time we finally got used to Sonic's scarf-wearing new look, but it could have been much worse, much, much worse. And lets not get started on Knuckles, I'm still not over his new look.
Sega have today announced that their mobile version of Sonic & All Stars Racing: Transformed has gone free on both iTunes and Google Play. This isn't a limited time thing either, the game is now free forever. Along with that great news, Wreck-it Ralph and Metal Sonic have also been added to the roster.
So this is my third Fantastic Four article in a row. Who thinks I can make it to four just for the sake symmetry? In my last article you may have noticed I commented on the Fantastic Four castings and did a bit of 'nerducation' on the side. This week I've decided to spice up a little article format I use. Instead of it being a day like no other..blah blah this time I'm not recruiting a themed team of Avengers. This time I'm going for mash up Fantastic Four.
