Those of you that have played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can attest to the fact that it's not a short game. However developer CD Projekt Red have always been of the opinion that this doesn't affect their policy.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has secured its third consecutive crown at the top spot of the UK gaming charts this week as we begin to see little in the way of big releases. But can the Witcher 3 cling on for another week?
The Witcher 3 is once again king giving Bandai Namco its fourth number one on the trot. This win didn't come without a messy battle however as it faced stiff competition from Nintendo's first attempt at a multiplayer shooter with Splatoon which debuts at number two.
The Witcher 3 has dominated game sale charts across the world, but it's not often a title cracks the charts and snags the number 1...
Bandai Namco Entertainment must be having some pretty big celebrations, not only has Project CARS scored them their first consecutive number one for over a decade, CD Projekt RED's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (which is published by Bandai Namco) has kept the publisher in the number one spot for the third week running. Champagne anyone?
The Witcher series is a strange old bird... Geralt appeared in his first adventure back in 2007, bringing a unique feel to the RPG genre. The games mimicked the likes of Bioware's Neverwinter Nights, the games that would lead on to Dragon Age and it's successors, yet CD Projekt Red managed to bring Andrzej Sapkowski's wonderfully dark world of fantasy, mystery and adult humour into the arena of gaming in a hugely original way.
Aside from the graphical woes and the occasional crash, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt seems to be running quite smoothly for some, and while CD Projekt RED are working hard to solve the minor issues that are arising, one massive issue has just piled on top of them.. Some Xbox One players are experiencing a bug which causes their game saves to corrupt leaving players who have put hours into the game with nothing.
For those of you who are avid Witcher fans and were wondering how Geralt's choices in the previous game were going to come through into Wild Hunt, look no further. Since The Witcher and The Witcher 2 were not present on PS3, CD Projekt Red has come up with their own way to transfer them. This video details the interrogation sequence that will happen right at the beginning of The Witcher 3, and will recount the events that happened in The Witcher 2, and the decisions you made. This will change the storyline, based on what you did in the previous game, similar to Bioware's Mass Effect or Dragon Age.
CD Projekt RED don't do thinks by halves, and that's proven in the launch trailer for the game which features some pretty breathtaking cinematics for the game. Though what's that chap from Twilight doing in the trailer? Go home female Edward, there's no room for sparkly vampires in The Witcher..
Some gamers have been worrying about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Xbox One but a new video from CD Projekt Red should put...
It looks like people can't wait to get their hands on CD Projekt RED's latest videogame, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as not only have some retailers been letting the game sell early - causing a headache for CD PR - but the developer has revealed that so far the game has received over one million pre-orders.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is just days away but that hasn't stopped CD Prokect RED and Bandai Namco Entertainment from releasing another action-packed video bloodier than a perfectly cooked steak. There's also a little teaser in the trailer if you watch it through, in the form of the new mystical, playable character Ciri.
Earlier today it was discovered that reputable storefront Green Man Gaming are offering a pretty fantastic deal on a GOG redeemable code for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for $39 (£49.99 on the UK store), a pretty substantial discount on the game's original price, and considerably cheaper than Steam's $54 price tag (which is currently on offer for £39.99 on the UK store). It sounds like a great deal, right? Well there might be a snag as CD Projekt RED have revealed that GMG's key's are from an "unknown source" and recommend avoiding GMG at all costs. Uh oh.
A brand new thirty second TV spot has arrived for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt which aims to build up hype for the game, and while I've never played a Witcher title, I'm pretty pumped for this! Check out the TV spot above that sees some poor innocent lass being hounded by a giant Griffioen-like creature only to be blasted out of the way with some dude with fire coming out of his hands. As you can tell, I have really never played a Witcher game..
CD Projekt Red has announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has gone gold with the release date being locked in permanently (no more delays, woohoo!) for May 19th on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The file size is said to be about 25 gigabytes and is now available for pre-load for Xbox One users. If you haven't pre-ordered already, you can do so with a 10% discount on the Xbox Store if you're a Xbox Live Gold member, which brings it down to $53.99USD/£40.49.
