It has recently come to light from the Hawkman himself that in 2003 during the build-up to the release of Loony Tunes: Back in...
Tony Hawk has revealed during The Nine Club podcast that he's working with a "phone app developer" on a new mobile game.
Following the abysmal excuse of a game that was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5, Tony Hawk has a lot of making up to do for those of us wanting a decent skateboarding game on current generations and that might just be happening.
Following word from Hawk himself and a cheeky accidental leak from the caterer at one of his events, we know that a new Pro Skater title is in the works. To hype the looming announcement, Hawk has once again shared a teaser on his Instagram which if you're a fan of the old school titles, will instantly give you a shot of nostalgia. He also gives a nod to the earlier leak which is brilliant.
Tony Hawk is preparing a closed press event at some point today and has brought a caterer along to provide food for the attendees. How do we know this? Well the caterer decided to share an image on Instagram of the setup which sees several tables being set inside presumably one of Tony Hawk's own halfpipes. Seems harmless right? Well in the background there's a presentation board currently displaying the logo for the next Tony Hawk game..
If you were too busy spending time with your significant other this weekend or spent too much time wallowing, you probably missed Tony Hawk reminding us once again that another Tony Hawk skateboarding game is in the works. This time it wasn't with an interview, it was with a lovey dovey poem. Isn't that nice.
This week during Sony's keynote at CES in Las Vegas, Tony Hawk took to the stage to announce that a brand new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater title was in the works for PlayStation 4. Though there's been no word of exclusivity, there's yet to be a confirmation that the game will also land on Xbox One.
It was announced recently from the mouth of the man himself, Tony Hawk, that a new Pro Skater game will arrive on both Playstation...
When you think of skateboarding legends you immediately think of Tony Hawk, at least if you grew up in the nineties you'll think of Hawk, otherwise you'll probably be thinking of Patti McGee, or Stacy Peralta. Anyway, Hawk previously created a video for Funny or Die where he rode a hover board, a video which we all knew was fake, I mean, it's Funny or Die after all, so you'll probably find it hard to believe that Haek is at it again, but this time it's for real - I promise.
Ever since I was a small boy I wanted to ride a skateboard. I started off easy and went down probably the steepest hill in the North East of England sitting down on my Action Man skateboard (I was cool, get over it). All went well until one day I forgot to stop myself and and went into a bollard. No biggie. As the adrenaline of sitting down on my skateboard wore off I decided to try standing up. I tried once and once only because on that fateful day the skateboard went from under my feet and I landed on a stone that embedded itself into my ass cheek. The pain passes but the memories linger...
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is one of the many games that I can honestly admit that I'd perfected. As a youngster I spend countless hours nailing gaps, grinding rail after rail to get that high combo, and ruthlessly searching each level for the hidden video tape. To call myself a Tony Hawk Pro Skater nerd would be a total understatement. I even began to know the entire sound track off by heart. Since 1999 all the way to 2007 Neversoft launched a new Tony Hawk title annually, which I certainly didn't object to, and neither did the developers as Neversoft co-founder Joel Jewett believe it didn't hurt the series, despite it now being shelved.
For those disappointed that the next big Tony Hawk's title is an endless runner for mobile, there may be a glimmer of hope from The Birdman himself who revealed in an AMA on reddit that a new Tony Hawk's game could be coming to "newer consoles."
I almost threw my hands into the air last week when I heard that Activision had confirmed that a brand new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game was coming out. I couldn't wait to get out into the various skateparks and street setups which I presume would be in full HD glory on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.. Oh how wrong I was.
A close-knit band of nostalgia fueled fans going by the pseudonyms of Morten, %gone, Quazz, CHC, Krad, Demo and Frost have took it upon...
I've been a huge fan of the Tony Hawk's videogame franchise since Tony Hawk's Pro Skater back on the PlayStation but since then the series has kind of taken a nosedive. Project 8 was the last Tony Hawk's game I played and thoroughly enjoyed, but Proving Ground focused heavily on the 'nail the trick' feature which ruined the game, for me anyway.
