Electronic Arts has this week announced that its shutting down Dead Space developer Visceral Games and moving current projects to other studios.
In the first patch for Battlefield Hardline EA are addressing some of the issues people have been having with the hidden drivable couch. It seems that it's just too overpowered. Thankfully this latest patch nerfs the couch a little making it less leathal.

For a while now we've been wondering whether Battlefield Hardline will step up the image resolution of the Battlefield series from Battlefield 4's fairly surprising 720p on Xbox One and 900p on PlayStation 4. But for those hoping for 1080p60 on the latest-gen consoles, unfortunately you're out of luck as it seems Visceral will be sticking with Battlefield 4's resolutions.
vDuring The Game Awards this morning EA unveiled a brand new trailer for their upcoming Battlefield title, Battlefield Hardline, as well as announcing when players will be able to dive into the second beta which will take place some time before the launch of the game early next year.
It's safe to say that the launch of Battlefield 4 didn't really go to plan. Connections to servers were limited, half of the content was unavailable, and various bugs prevented the game to be played fully. So for those reserved about hopping on the hype train for Battlefield Hardline, EA hope to curb your worries as they promise the game will run how it should at launch, or so they hope.
I'm sure there are many games on peoples lists that certain publishers didn't show or even mention at E3 this year, Dead Space was certainly one of them, but Visceral, the developers behind the space-themed survival horror game, do have a lot on their plates at the moment with Star Wars: Battlefront, and of course, Battlefield Hardline, but that doesn't mean they've forgotten about the beloved franchise promising that there'll "absolutely" be another game in the future.
For a while now it's been rumoured that the next instalment into the Battlefield franchise won't just be Battlefield 5, this time it'll be taking a new turn focusing on SWAT teams. Yesterday, the existence of Battlefield Hardline was discovered as "BFH" and posted on the Better Battlelog forums, which also included the logo, release details, and other assets. Following the discovery EA came out and fully confirmed Battlefield Hardline.
